I actually wanted the doctor to take as long as he wanted
It seems like it’s a stereotype at this point to talk about how the doctor’s office is freezing cold. I think I may be one of the only people to ever appreciate the fact that it was cold in the doctor’s office. Let me explain. My car currently has a busted air conditioner, and I definitely do not have the money to fix it at the moment. The thing that irks me is that my car isn’t even a piece of junk that’s on its way out! It’s a fairly new car and nearly everything else with it is perfectly fine except for the air conditioner. How on earth did that happen? I don’t feel that I was particularly abusing the air conditioner or anything. Anyway, I’ve been driving around without an air conditioner in 90 plus degree weather and nearly 100% humidity for the past week or so. Needless to say, it has not been fun. I had a doctor’s appointment recently. It was a routine checkup. I walked from my hot car to the hot parking lot and finally into the nice, cold doctor’s office. It was actually a huge relief to be under that air conditioning. I actually wanted the doctor to take as long as he wanted. I had an article to write on my phone for work, so he could take as long as he liked, as far as I was concerned. Doctors are reliably late, so I got half an hour to do some work in the soothing air conditioner! It took me a moment to even acknowledge that they were calling my name!
