Dirty condenser coils cause an issue with my A/C

I had an issue developing with my air conditioning system and I wasn’t even aware of it.

I have been changing my HVAC air filters regularly.

I will admit that it had been some time since I had had an HVAC technician come out to check on my unit. I sort of kind of forgot about my HVAC unit apart from changing the air filter. Anyway, an issue developed that caused the air conditioner to not be able to cool nearly as well. It was a gradual loss in cooling effectiveness that I was noticing. At first, it was practically subconscious, but eventually, I consciously realized that the air conditioner just wasn’t pumping out cool air the way it used to. When it got to the point where my air conditioner simply could not achieve the temperature I sat on the thermostat, I relented and called out an HVAC technication. He was able to ascertain that my condenser coils were filthy! He explained to me that dirty condenser coils make it very difficult for an HVAC system to transfer heat inside the house to outside the house. He gave the condenser coils a good cleaning, I needed various other things to improve the health of my system. When he was finished, the bill wasn’t exactly cheap, but you better bet that my air conditioner was working good as new! Before he left, the HVAC technician strongly suggested that I enroll in an HVAC maintenance plan, so I wouldn’t forget about regularly scheduled visits. I have to admit, it sounds like a good idea!
