At first, I had my doubts about how effective window air conditioning would be.
However, it turns out that it is pretty good at cooling a room.
I decided to move to a different apartment a while back. I decided that the apartment that me and my family were currently living in was far too small for our needs. This would be the best decision for my fiance and child. However, our old apartment had everything we needed except for more space, so I was a little concerned about leaving it. Me and my future wife will certainly start looking for homes in the future. However, for now, we would have to be content with finding a new apartment. After some research, I found an incredibly nice one. It had a community pool & playground, which would be good for our child, however, there was one small issue that concerned me, and that was the fact that these apartments lacked central air conditioning, and instead, had only window units. Our previous apartment had an excellent central air conditioner. I was skeptical that window A/Cs would be just as capable of keeping us cool, because the climate around here is pretty hot. I told my friend about it, who also lived in an apartment, and she told me I could try out her window air conditioning unit. I visited her and gave it a try to see how well it cooled her room. Satisfied, I decided to go for the apartments. It was the right choice in the end, because the window air conditioner units were more than sufficient.
