While I waited for the central air conditioning to be fixed, I was feeling quite hot without it.
Thankfully, the condo complex I live in is excellent, and as soon as I mentioned the central air conditioning, they were on top of repairing it pronto Not only that, they also had the A/C business bring out a portable A/C for me to help keep me cool.
As much as I appreciate the portable a/c, it is just not as nice having a central air conditioner, and I really miss it. I even went out and bought a box fan to help circulate the air around my apartment. However, even these two things combined are not as effective at keeping me cool as a central air conditioner system. Now it is just a matter of a waiting game. The HVAC company working with me said that they should be able to get the repairs done this week. I hope that they are right, since it is the middle of the summer and they are extremely busy with other customers who need help with their air conditioners as well. While I wait, I have been going to a nearby cafe that has good indoor air quality and superb air conditioner. This gives me an opportunity to relax in the cool air and have a snack and a coffee. I will be so ecstatic when the central air conditioner is back to normal again! Until then, I will have to rely on my trusty portable A/C and box fan.
