Recently, I was considering getting a regular HVAC maintenance plan. In the past, I never really saw a need for getting such a plan. I never thought that it would be necessary. A few days ago, however, it became very necessary. You see, I breed warm water tropical fish for a living. My condo is generally kept at an appropriate temperature for the fish. I just need to keep the thermostat at 77 degrees or higher. But when my HVAC system died, the rapidly decreasing temperatures became a serious problem. The state that I currently live in has very cold winters, and my fish are very sensitive to lower temperatures. If the temperature drops enough, it can hurt or even kill the fish. I certainly didn’t want my business going under just because my furnace had an issue with it. I know I needed to act fast, so I called out an HVAC technician for an emergency repair. This emergency repair ended up costing an exorbitant amount of money, but I realized that if I had an HVAC maintenance plan, it would have cost me absolutely nothing.
