You wouldn’t normally think that it would, but my car air conditioner saved my life recently.
- After I lost my job, my wife divorced me and kicked me out of the home.
I didn’t have very much cash on me, and I ended up homeless. my wife must really have grown to hate me if she ended up kicking me out the moment I lost my job. Anyway, I had no friends or family that I could live with, because I could not reach them without a plane ticket. In the end, my car was the only thing I had left. The worst part of being homeless was not the looks I would get, worrying about paying for food, or finding a suitable place to park my car and rest. No, the worst part was the weather. I don’t live in a desert, but it may as well be a desert in the summer. Unfortunately, it is practically summer all year round and winter is not something that exists here. It is hot constantly, with temperatures easily reaching into the 90s, and sometimes into the triple digits. I simply would not have survived without a good air conditioner in my vehicle. The air conditioner powered throughout most of the day and night, and it never quit. That was definitely one of my fears, that if I used the air conditioner too much, it would quit on me for good, but it never did. It took a long time, but fast forward to today, and I can afford a place to live with good central heating and air conditioning, and I can leave my fears of homelessness behind me. I’m making progress!
