I was a little bit sad whenever the baseball season ended, but I have to admit that I was just a little bit relieved, too
I must admit that I’m really glad to be done with baseball season. It seemed like the season was just going to last forever this year and I could barely stand to be outside in the heat all the time during all of the games that we had to go to. We have a lot of games to go to during the summer because my son plays travel baseball and they have more than fifty games every year. It’s a big commitment to be a travel baseball parent, that’s for sure. Anyway, having a son who plays baseball like this means that you just about have to be able to stand the heat up to a certain extent. The temperatures around here during the summer tend to get into the high eighties and nineties, and when you’re on the baseball field, there is no air conditioning. I am a person who really loves the air conditioning during the summer. Whenever I am stuck out on the baseball field for hours and hours at a time, all I can think about is how I wish that I had a portable air conditioning system or something. Sometimes I even go out to my car for a while so that I can sit in the A/C for a while until I start cooling down just a little bit. It’s really brutal down here in the summer, that’s for sure. I was a little bit sad whenever the baseball season ended, but I have to admit that I was just a little bit relieved, too. I’m glad that I don’t have to worry about sitting out in the hot sun for hours at a time anymore until next year.
