When it comes to heating my home I enjoy an old fashioned gas furnace.
The reason for this is because central heating gives off absolutely dry air! It makes our skin dry and occasionally even makes me feel all around dehydrated. I do not know if it is just me being sensitive to certain types of heating or what, but that is how I feel, then with a gas furnace the heating that it gives off is perfect. It is not too dry and it heats the home nicely in those long cold winter months of the year. I am absolutely cheerful having a gas furnace. I used to have central heating but because it was too dry I decided to get rid of it and get a nice old fashioned gas furnace. Not to mention, the gas furnace absolutely makes it so that our energy bills are a little cheaper as well. It doesn’t take any electricity at all to be able to run the gas oil furnace, but so because of that alone it is better to have a gas oil furnace than central heating! For our air conditioning I still have central air conditioning. But that is it. It is now just a sit alone central air conditioning unit instead of a central HVAC system. I think I made the right choice and it is what is best for me. I would not change our mind no matter what. I am absolutely cheerful with the old fashioned gas furnace and I will continue to use it until something better comes along.
