It couldn’t read the temperature in the room correctly which made the HVAC system underperform
Mary lives with her sister. This wasn’t always the case. Ever since they were small, Mary wanted to travel and see the world. She was out the door as soon as she finished high school. Instead of going to college, Mary spent many years traveling and working odd jobs. Eventually, she settled in a foreign country, went to school and began working. After some time, she met this guy, fell in love, but things didn’t work out. Her sister was worried about her when the break up took place so she begged Mary to come back home. It’s been a year now and they love living together. The other day, the sisters were getting ready for work in the morning when they noticed their AC wasn’t running properly. The house was always cool and comfortable when the AC was on since it’s summer. But, that morning, they felt the space was warmer and felt a bit uncomfortable. Since they both had work, they phoned an HVAC expert to get an appointment for later in the day. Mary works part time so she’d be back home in time to let the HVAC expert in to take a look. She got home at 2pm and the HVAC expert came by 15 minutes later to inspect the faulty system. According to him, the HVAC system was okay, it was the thermostat which had an issue. It couldn’t read the temperature in the room correctly which made the HVAC system underperform. This was an old thermostat which was in the house when Mary’s sister bought the place. So, instead of repairing it, they opted to replace it with a better and smart thermostat.
