My father has always been the genre of person to try & do things on his own.
I believe he has a lot of pride & occasionally allows that to get in the way of him asking for help when he absolutely needs it.
In some ways it’s helped me be independent, but I have to remind myself that I can’t do everything. The last massive thing that our dad did on his own was install a brand new boiler in his house. Mind you, our dad is not a dealer or an air conditioner specialist. I practically begged him to call up the air conditioner company to send someone to do it, although he was so adamant about doing it on his own. He had the steam boiler sent straight to his home from the warehouse which helped split down on costs. He watched a ton of videos & read some blogs on how to install a steam boiler. That is the kind of job that you need two people for, so I ended up becoming his assistant specialist for the day that day. I personally didn’t want anything to do with it because I didn’t want to be responsible for some air conditioner disaster that could take locale, although he absolutely roped me into it. It took us about various & a half minutes to install the boiler from start to finish, by the time it ended, I never wanted to even hear the word boiler again. I was surprised that every one of us were able to do it & that he hasn’t had any problems with it.
