If there’s one thing I know, it’s that no one wants to go through the headache of an expensive HVAC repair.
When my customers cringe because of the cost of a heating or air conditioning repair, I understand how they are feeling.
I don’t enjoy giving them to the news that they need either a brand-new furnace or AC unit. I understand the difficulty that many people are having right now. Therefore, the first thing I say to any new customer, or one who is having a new HVAC system installed, is that they need to purchase the maintenance and repair agreement. With a maintenance and repair agreement, our company offers free maintenance and repairs twice a year. We also include changing the air filters for some people. Most of the people who have the air filter changes done, our senior citizens, and people who have some kind of disability. It’s my pleasure to go to these houses and change the air filters or do their maintenance, for free I enjoy helping people out, or I wouldn’t be an HVAC technician. I also tell my customers that by having a maintenance and repair agreement, they are also making sure that their two-year full warranty is in good standing. Without the maintenance and repair agreement, they would only have a one year full warranty, and a second year would be minimal.I’m pretty sure that every HVAC company has their version of a maintenance and repair agreement. Some, like mine, include certain minor repairs done for free, that are separate from when the annual maintenance is completed.
