My HVAC Tech was supposed to be at my home by noon last Saturday.
When he hadn’t arrived by two, the HVAC company rescheduled the cleaning in my air conditioning, and set it up for the following Saturday.
This was the following Saturday. I was up at 7 o’clock, got my shower, and had my breakfast when 8 o’clock arrived. I was sure that after he hadn’t shown up last week, he would be here on the early side of their arrival window, but I was wrong. As every minute ticked by, I became a little more anxious. Every car that went by my house, I would look out to see if it was the HVAC technician arriving. When 1130 arrived, the HVAC Tech still had not arrived. I went upstairs, changed my clothes, and got ready to go out with my friends. I had my bathing suit on underneath my sundress, and I was just getting ready to open my door to head out to go to the beach with my friends, when the doorbell rang. I looked at my fingers that were still on the doorknob, and thought I had done something. I was so shocked that the doorbell went off the same time I touched the doorknob that I couldn’t breathe properly. I opened the door, and there stood the HVAC text grinning at me. He apologized for not showing up last week, but he said his wife was in the hospital having a baby. Even though I wasn’t sure if he was telling the truth, it sure was a good excuse for not showing up at all last week.
