About a year ago, my husband and I bought two cases of air filters. One case of air filters was for the AC unit, and the other case of air filters was for the furnace. Last week, my husband wanted to change the air filter for the furnace. It’d been a long cold winter, and we felt it was necessary to change our air filters every single month. Between the rain, snow, and the mud when the snow melted and the rain started again, we knew there had to be a lot of dust and dirt that was going through the furnace. My husband went into the basement and he came back upstairs without changing the air filter. He asked me if I could find the new air filters for him. I knew we had bought a new case over a year ago, but I wasn’t sure how many air filters were in that case. I was thinking that there were only six, but he was adamant that it was a full dozen. So, we went in search of the box of new air filters. We found a box with four remaining air filters for the AC unit, but we didn’t find any air filters for the furnace. I told my wife that we had already used up six of them, and I was pretty sure we were out. The next thing I knew, we were heading to town to the HVAC showroom, backspace. We were there to purchase air filters for the furnace, but this time she wanted to make sure we had a dozen air filters on hand, and not just six.
