My parents were coming to visit my spouse and I for the holidays.
It was to be the first time they have ever been in our brand-new house, and they were staying for several weeks.
I was gleeful to see my parents again, since the two of us hadn’t seen them since our wedding. As soon as the wedding was over, my spouse and I headed south where my new job was to begin… For the last several weeks, my spouse had been telling myself and others that the two of us should have the gas furnace diagnosed before my parents arrived. We had started using the gas furnace at night, because even though the two of us lived in the South, it got quite cold when the sun went down. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation, and asked if they could send someone out to inspect our gas furnace. When the Heating and Air Conditioning Tech finally arrived, she asked if the two of us had noticed anything wrong that made us suppose the two of us should have an Heating and Air Conditioning Tech inspect gas furnace. My spouse said about the different smell that was coming through the air vents whenever the gas furnace turned on. I must’ve given her an different look, because the Heating and Air Conditioning Tech looked at me, and then over at my spouse then back at me. I looked at the Heating and Air Conditioning Tech and told him that this was the first time she was telling myself and others about the gas furnace and the smells. My spouse shrugged, said she hadn’t really given it a thought, until the Heating and Air Conditioning tech arrived. This was the perfect time to bring up the smells, since the Heating and Air Conditioning tech was there to work on the gas furnace.
