I absolutely hate blinds with a passion, i assume that no matter what blind you purchase it looks terrible.
They are a paint to wash and to operate, and curtains aren’t much better either; You need to always wash them and they always seem to let in a little bit of light.
I wasn’t keen on the plan of drilling holes into my home for blind installation or rods for curtains. I looked up solutions on how to have privacy however not use blinds or curtains! More and more people are doing window tinting now for privacy. That is adding a window film that is a darker shade over the glass. It doesn’t affect your vision inside of the house, however outside of it, then so people walking up to the home only see blackened windows and it offers you some privacy. They have all sorts of window tints that do amazing things. There are energy efficient window motion pictures and sunlight control window motion pictures. There are more decorative ones that show patterns and offer peculiar colors. I went with a light gray window film to all my glass facing the road. That way I can have privacy and have the open window look in my living room. I adore that I don’t have any maintenance or upkeep with the film. It was a one time task and I don’t need to worry about it for a few more years. I will have perfect privacy for a long way to come. I have even thought of adding the film to the bathroom.
