Driving home, there was a place I loved to sit and watch the sunset.
My home was up on a hill with the most fantastic view.
This area was called the ‘lover’s spot,’ but I enjoyed it by myself. It was a place I always felt grateful and reflected on my life. One lovely evening, I drove up the hill as usual and parked my car. Normally, I’d sit on the car bonnet, but that evening I went to sit on the chairs since there was no one around. As I was taking in the view, I felt something brush against my feet. I looked down only to see two tiny kittens covered with dirt getting cozy around my foot. I went to the car and got my gym towel to cover them. Though I wasn’t a pet person, that day, I knew I couldn’t leave those kittens out there alone. I drove home with them, gave them a bath, some food and placed them in a warm area. The following day we went to the vet, and that’s how I became a cat dad. About three months after the cats moved in, I noticed something was wrong with the AC in my home. It was blowing in warm air in summer though I had it set to cool mode. I suspected an issue with the HVAC and sent a message to the local AC mechanic, who always worked on the system. He came by the house after two hours to inspect the HVAC system. It turns out the air filter was clogged with dirt, and… you guessed it! Cat hair, so he advised us to change the filter every month.
