I actually was able to adjust the thermostat down to a much cooler setting right in the middle of the afternoon Last week. That’s a sure sign that autumn is on it’s way to where I live. Sure, there are many other locales where the autumn changes are already abundant. But for us, just not having to keep running the Heating and A/C system in the low 72’s everyday is an indication that heat season is waning. That too is such an unbelievable thing. I savor where I live but I can constantly be so blissful when the Summer starts winding down. That’s because it means that the next 8 weeks will be full of perfect weather plus that is well worth managing our Summers. But were it not for our reliable heat pump plus all the cooling I need, that might not be the case. In fact, were it not for modern Heating and A/C tech, I don’t recognize that I’d even be able to live here. Starting about mid May, the sizzling heat plus humidity levels stick right at the triple digit section plus don’t budge much during the late afternoon. So by dinnertime each afternoon, you entirely want to be either submerged in some chilled water or inside the air conditioner. That’s truly the only way to manage the heat plus humidity. But an air conditioner isn’t just cooling off the house, it’s also balancing the indoor humidity levels. It’s actually just a function of the Heating and A/C cooling process. As The heat pump is pumping out heat energy to make room for cooling air to replace it, it is also pumping out the moisture as well.
