There are some things that happen and all you want are the facts. Just get to the point and skip all the embellishments plus what ifs. I hate when people try to sugarcoat the facts, thinking it is going to be easier to understand, when it doesn’t. I’m not a stupid woman and I want to know the truth. This being said, when the Heating and A/C specialist told me the a/c unit needed to be updated, I wanted to know what happened. She started off by saying the A/C unit was almost fifteen years old and she didn’t expect it to last much longer. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. She said that the components tend to wear out over time. Eventually, it is costing more to repair the a/c unit, than to purchase a brand new one. Holding up a single hand to stop her chatter, I told her that all I wanted to hear was what in the system was so awful that it necessitated my need to purchase a new a/c unit. She seemed to be at a loss for words. I told her I would prefer a second opinion, or better yet, to have another woman tell me the same thing, but in words that made sense. I wanted facts before putting out that much cash. I called the Heating and A/C corporation and told them what was going on. The young woman got on the cellphone and started with the same reasons she had given me. I knew I needed a new a/c unit, despite the fact that I wanted the young woman to tell me why she thought I needed a new A/C unit.
