I wanted to get the facts.

There are some things that happen and all you want are the facts.

  • Skip all the embellishments and what ifs, and just get to the point.

I hate when people try to sugarcoat the facts, thinking it is going to be easier to understand. I’m not a stupid woman and I want to know the truth and nothing more. This being said, when the HVAC technician told me the air conditioning unit needed to be replaced, I wanted to know what happened. He started off by saying the AC unit was almost fifteen years old and I couldn’t expect it to last much longer. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. He said about how the components tend to wear out over time. Eventually, it is costing more to repair the air conditioning unit, than to purchase a new one. Holding up one hand to stop his chatter, I told him that all I wanted was what was so bad that it necessitated my need to purchase a new air conditioning unit. He seemed to be at a loss for words. I told him I would like a second opinion, or better yet, to have another person tell me the same thing, but in words that made sense. I wanted facts before putting out that much money. I called the HVAC company and told them what was going on. The young man got on the phone and started with the same reasons he had given me. I knew I needed a new air conditioning unit, but I wanted the young man to tell me why he thought I needed a new AC unit.
