I needed a second opinion

When something happens and needs explained to me, I just prefer to hear the facts.

Skip all extra stuff and beating around the bush.

Just get to the point. I do not like when people try to sugarcoat the facts, thinking it is going to be easier to understand. I’m not a stupid person and I want to be given the truth and only the truth. This being said, when the Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker told me that my a/c device needed to be replaced, I wanted to know what happened and I wanted him to get to the point. He started off by saying the A/C device was almost fifteen years old and I couldn’t expect it to last much longer. I crossed my arms and I raised an eyebrow at him. He told me how the components tend to wear out over time. Eventually, it is costing more to repair the a/c unit, than to purchase a new one with a unit this old. Holding up and hand to stop his chatter, I told him that all I wanted to be told was what was so awful that it necessitated the huge need to purchase a new a/c unit. He seemed to be at a loss for words. I told him I would like a second opinion, or better yet, to have another person tell me the same thing, but actually in words that made sense. I wanted facts before putting out that much money for a replacement system. I called the Heating, Ventilation and A/C supplier and I told them what was going on. The young guy got on the phone and gave them the same reasons he had given me. I knew I needed a new a/c unit, but I wanted the young guy to tell me exactly why he thought I needed a new A/C unit.
