I wanted facts before paying that much money for a new unit
Sometimes when things happen, all you want to know are the facts, and nothing else. Skip all the embellishments and what ifs, and just get to the point. I hate when people try to sugarcoat the facts, thinking it is going to be easier to understand. I’m not a stupid guy and I just want to be told the truth and nothing more. This being said, when the Heating and Air Conditioning specialist told me the air conditioner unit needed to be replaced, I wanted to know what happened. He started off by saying the A/C unit was almost fifteen years old and I couldn’t expect it to last much longer. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. He said about how the components tend to wear out over time. Eventually, it will cost more to repair the existing air conditioner unit, than to purchase a new one. Holding up one hand to stop his chatter, I told him that all I wanted was what exactly in the system was so poor that it necessitated my need to purchase a modern air conditioner unit. He seemed to be at a loss for words. I told him I would like a second opinion, or better yet, to have another guy tell me the same thing, but in words that actually made sense. I wanted facts before paying that much money for a new unit. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning company and told them what was going on. The young man got on the phone and started with the same reasons he had given me. I knew I needed a new air conditioner unit, however I wanted the young man to tell me why he thought I needed a new A/C unit.
