There are some things that happen and all you want to know are the facts.
Skip all the embellishments and what ifs, and just get to the point. I hate when people try to sugarcoat the facts, thinking it is going to be easier to understand. I’m not a stupid person and I want to know the truth and not hear someone beat around the bush. This being said, when the Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist told me that the a/c unit needed to be replaced, I wanted to know what happened to it exactly. He started off by saying the AC unit was almost fifteen years old and that it wouldn’t last much longer. I just crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. He explained how the components tend to wear out over time. Eventually, it is costing more to repair the a/c unit, than to purchase a new one. Holding up one hand to stop his chatter, I told him that all I wanted to hear was what parts or issues about my system required my need to purchase a new a/c unit. He seemed to be at a loss for words. I told him I would like a second opinion, or better yet, to have another person tell me the same thing, but in words that made sense to me. I wanted facts before putting out that much money as a new unit is not a cheap purchase. I called the Heating, Ventilation and A/C corporation and explained to them what was going on. The young guy got on the phone and started with the same reasons he had given me. I knew I needed a new a/c unit, but I wanted the young guy to tell me why he thought I needed a new AC unit.
