You would never feel it by looking at her, however our mother is pretty famous in particular circles, but she is a makeup artist, one that has diagnosed numerous uncommon Oscar nominated movies. She can do beauty makeups on stars, or convincing aging makeups for when a young actor needs to play an seasoned character. She has an aw-shucks, girl-next-door charm about her, undoubtedly down to earth, so you would never think that numerous famous people feel her by name… In her own way, she helped myself and others find our work in HVAC repair, just by being her assistant! You may not feel this, however weather conditions control is severely pressing in the world of fashion & special effects makeup! For the makeup to look its best & most natural, the skin needs to be scrub & dry, so without weather conditions control & temperature moderation the deck is stacked against you. It turns out that I was fine at it, & the a/c always ran perfectly when I was on the set. Some years later when I had our HVAC certification I went back to that same studio & was given a task as a specialist with the makeup department. I focused only on heating & cooling systems, however was available on set, every set, to make sure the makeup could be applied smoothly. I feel I only got the task because of who our mom is, although I still care about the HVAC work!
