You would never know it by looking at her, but my mother is pretty famous in particular circles, and she is a makeup artist, one that has tested multiple odd Oscar nominated motion pictures.
She can do beauty makeups on stars, or convincing aging makeups for when a young actor needs to play an aged character. She has an aw-shucks, girl-next-door charm about her, very down to earth, so you would never guess that multiple famous people know her by name, however in her own way, she helped myself and others find my work in Heating and A/C repair, just by being her assistant, and you may not know this, but climate control is extremely important in the world of fashion and special effects makeup, then for the makeup to look its best and most natural, the skin needs to be clean and dry, so without climate control and temperature moderation the deck is stacked against you. I started studying how to complicationshoot Heating and A/C issues when accompanying my mother to toil some afternoons, partially just to have something to do. It turns out that I was nice at it, and the cooling system consistently ran perfectly when I was on the set. Some years later when I had my Heating and A/C certification I went back to that same studio and was given a job as a specialist with the makeup department. I focused only on heating and cooling systems, but was available on set, every set, to make sure the makeup could be applied smoothly. I know I only got the job because of who my Dad is, however I still like the Heating and A/C work!
