Adjusted house so dog could get exercise

The next thing I knew, I found myself renovating my heating and cooling system so that the dog could comfortably exercise inside

I am a sucker. I know that it’s true. I have such a big heart that I often so myself out. This has been the case for basically as long as I can remember. When I was growing up I was in a house full of lovely animals. We were always finding injured and sick creatures that needed our help. Ever since then, I’ve been unable to shake this caregiving tendency. Recently, it came back to bite me in the butt like usual when I saw an amazing dog up for adoption on a local animal shelter website. I immediately knew that I needed to help with the pooch no matter what it took. I didn’t realize that it would be at the expense of my heating and cooling system as well as my savings account. When I agreed to take the special needs dog I had no idea that he would hate going outside. Apparently, this puppy had always been kept in the perfect comfort of a well heated and cooled facility. He had no experience with being outside or in during the hot and humid air conditions of our summer season. As such, he absolutely refused to go outside to get any exercise. The next thing I knew, I found myself renovating my heating and cooling system so that the dog could comfortably exercise inside. We had to install a brand new mini split ductless heating and cooling system so I could easily modulate the indoor air temperature in his workout room. Now, the entire house has been outfitted with advanced indoor air temperature control equipment for the sake of keeping my dog comfortable and safe.
