Are dirty air ducts contributing to respiratory problems?

I immediately rang up the HVAC company nearby for some suggestions.

Being sick has taken on an entirely new dimension lately. What our country and the planet are going through with the coronavirus is hard to wrap my head around. I, like many other people, am taking every precaution in an effort to not catch or transmit this awful virus. There is a part of this that makes things even stranger for me. Last year, I found an article about HVAC and the indoor air quality of our homes with its direct link to our respiratory health. It was something that struck some sort of chord with me because I was actually moved to get proactive about the indoor air quality of my own HVAC maintained home. Until that point, I had never really considered the air inside my house. The only time I thought about the air was when I wanted it to be made warmer or cooler by my HVAC unit. That was it. But, the article made me realize that I was breathing air that was probably dragging down my immune system if not making my respiratory health actively worse. It got me to thinking about the air ducts in my home. I realized that they had never been cleaned for at least the 20 plus years that owned the place. I immediately rang up the HVAC company nearby for some suggestions. This HVAC company was kind enough to make me an appointment with a subsidiary whose only purpose was cleaning HVAC air ducts. They were out within days and I was impressed with both their professionalism and how thorough they were. Given, our current circumstance, I’m glad I did that to increase the strength of my immune system.
