I can easily say that this is the first weekend of true fall weather.
- I woke up this day to go stand on our back porch, and I fell in love! The air was cool and crisp and there was hardly any humidity.
It’s enjoy Old Man Winter gently left his calling card right on our back doorstep. An yellow sunlight was rising through the rosy sky, and through the fog and trees… Just a couple days earlier, I had been needing our air conditioner. It was so overheated outside. But then, the weather turned on a dime. I knew I was going to appreciate this Saturday. I would not be needing the air conditioner or the heat. I was going to open every window in our new home and maybe some of the doors! I was going to let the Fall right in! In all our excitement, I remembered something really important. My father used to tell me, when Old Man Winter leaves his calling card for the first time, you best start thinking about calling out an Heating and A/C supplier to check on your gas furnace! It’s a wonderful rule to follow. Why wait until it’s honestly bitter frigid outside to call out a gas furnace service guy? It’s a much better plan to make sure that your gas furnace is ready for the Winter long before It shows up in full force. I definitely enjoyed the weather this week, but I also made sure to call our local Heating and A/C company, and they will be sending somebody out tomorrow.
