I have a big fluffy angora cat and was going to let it crawl through the ducts and clean them for me.
Haha, it’s a funny concept having a big fat cat squeeze through the ducts and remove all of the dust from inside. Then I would just give the cat a bath and the ducts are all clean. Well, it sounds good on paper but I don’t think my cat would be too happy with the job and I don’t think it would clean the ducts that well anyways. I have some duct sealing to do also so I better just call the HVAC tech and get something set up soon. They can clean them within a couple of hours and get my system back to what it was when I had it installed a couple years ago. I think they have a special now on ductwork cleaning so it would be best to get it done now and save some money. I also need to get some other things done around the house but I think this one gets first priority. I think there are some leaks in the ducts so I will have to get the ductwork sealed while they are cleaning them so that I don’t waste money from the leaky ducts. My friend had hers done a couple of weeks ago and she said her system runs much better now. I think the air quality in my flat is pretty good but if I get the whole thing cleaned well then it would probably be even better.
