I had to turn on my air con for a bit as it is getting pretty hot in the flat.
I am trying not to run it a lot because my last power bill was sky high.
They raised the rates and now it isn’t so easy staying cool in the flat. I think I will get a mini split AC unit for my bedroom next summer because it just costs way too much to cool the whole flat with the central HVAC system. I need to buy a couple small fans for my office and bedroom also as they help a lot with cooling me down while not costing that much to run. My cats don’t seem to mind the heat even though they have really thick fur coats. I wonder how they stay cool on the hot summer days even while I see them lying in the sun sometimes. Maybe they have a built in air conditioning system which keeps them cool because you never see them panting like dogs do. I know they are fine in the winter with the thick fur but it baffles me how they stay cool in the summer. So anyway, today is Monday and I am almost done with all of my chores and will be heading out soon to meet up with some friends. The one guy is a cooling rep and the girl works for the heating supplier doing heat pump sales. We will play some music later when the sun sets and just enjoy these lovely days on the coast.
