Today I will take apart my heating and AC system to clean the grill in the air handler. I haven’t looked at it in a long time and I am sure it is really dirty now. I ran my dehumidifier last night but I think it was actually the air conditioner running as my room was freezing this morning. I thought that it wouldn’t trigger the AC but I really don’t know how that works I guess. It’s supposed to be a lot cheaper running the dehumidifier as opposed to the air but it felt just like I had the air on last night. I’m just trying to save money as the power rates have tripled over the past couple of years. Now turning on my HVAC system isn’t the same as it used to be and I need to be more cautious or I am just going to be throwing my money out the window. At least for the next few months the weather is going to be mild and we won’t need any AC in the flat, possibly a little heating in the winter months but no AC till next summer. I think the heating is actually more expensive to run than the air so I need to be careful with that too. I’ll just have to put on my wool sweater and socks and stay warm in the flat with more clothes. My feet get quite cold in the winter because I don’t have heated floors and live on the ground floor so those socks are going to come in handy soon.
