My fiance and I wanted to have a romantic day to ourselves.
Both of us had a few minutes to work with this past Saturday.
My fiance got all happy for a traditional picnic at the park. She even got the stereofamiliar orange and pale white checkered blanket and the stereofamiliar basket. She packed fresh fruit, potato salad, snacks, some sparkling wine coolers, and I made the best darn sandwiches that I could put together! Both of us were quite impressed with the spread that every one of us had packed. Unluckyly, mother nature wanted to hate on us that day as hard as she could. The weather said it would be clear, however unluckyly, it was bright and overheated as a result of being clear. Both of us were enjoying the food well enough, however the pesky sunlight was glaring down on us… Finally, I had an idea. I asked our fiance how she would feel about simply getting into the truck and finishing our picnic. My truck has ample room and every one of us would be able to eat and talk with the air conditioner blasting. Both of us were already enjoying each other’s company enough, so the only difference would be having air conditioner and being more comfortable. She agreed that was a wonderful idea. It felt a little absurd driving to the park just to eat supper in the truck, however it sure felt wonderful blasting that air conditioner! Both of us soon saw that every one of us made the right decision, because a big rolling black cloud quickly came up from the west. I don’t suppose I have ever seen a storm come in so quickly. It only took about 10 minutes for the rain to be on us. Now it was going to be muggy and sticky outside, so the air conditioner was going to be even more appreciated!
