People don’t believe me when I tell them how cold it is.

When I moved to Wisconsin, I didn’t know what I was getting into.

My best friend told me about the mountains and the gorgeous men who rode around on horses.

That’s when I thought it would be nice to move. Had I realized it would only be the middle of September and we would already get snow, I would have never moved. I woke up in the morning, shivering in my bed, and wondering why it was so cold. I looked outside to see the entire countryside was covered in snow. I reached for the thermostat, but it hadn’t been switched from air conditioning to heating, and I didn’t know how to do it. After dressing, I knew it was time to do something. I called the HVAC company and asked if they could tell me how to switch my thermostat and they promised to send someone out. Apparently, thermostats were different and I didn’t know if mine was a smart thermostat or a digital one. The woman I spoke to, talked to me like I was an imbecile and told me to bundle up. I wanted to tell her I had moved from down south just two months earlier, and I had never seen snow, but she didn’t seem to care. An hour later, there was an HVAC tech at my door. He checked the heating system and then he adjusted my thermostat. He showed me what I needed to do and was thankful. The HVAC technician wasn’t a cowboy, but he was just as cute as my friend told me they would be out here..
