When it comes to heating my home I prefer an old fashioned gas furnace.
The reason for this is because central heating gives off a very dry air.
It makes my skin dry and sometimes even makes me feel all around dehydrated. I do not know if it is just me being sensitive to certain types of heating or what, but that is how I feel. With a gas furnace the heating that it gives off is perfect. It is not too dry and it heats my home really nice in those long cold winter months of the year. I am very happy having a gas furnace. I used to have central heating but because it was too dry I decided to get rid of it and get a nice old fashioned gas furnace. Not to mention, the gas furnace actually makes it so that my energy bills are a little cheaper as well. It doesn’t take any electric at all to be able to run the gas furnace. So because of that alone it is better to have a gas furnace than central heating. For my air conditioning I still have central air conditioning. But that is it. It is now just a stand alone central air conditioning unit instead of a central heating and air conditioning system. I think I made the right choice and it is what is best for me. I would not change my mind no matter what. I am very happy with the old fashioned gas furnace and I will continue to use it until something better comes along.
