I live in a more than one-study room house in the downtown area of a highly populated metropolitan city.
When I decided to transfer here last summer, I was truly adamant about being in a newly constructed house that was surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the popular city.
It’s been great, however it truly comes with its cons. Since current construction tends to get built incredibly quickly, I think that the insulation in the building is not as strong as it could be considering how cold the un-even temperatures get while I was in the Wintertide season here. Because of that, everyone in the building cranks their oil furnaces up so much while I was in the winter. THe electric company charges so much money for oil furnaces while I was in that time because of the high demand, and I truly find this frustratedting. It’s not our fault that every one of us need to run oil furnaces in order to stay comfortable and well. I’ve resorted to using a space furnace in our study room at evening to split back on using our central furnace since it’s so lavish to run for extended periods of time. I truly don’t prefer using a space furnace though because I have heard horror stories about them catching fire at some point throughout the evening, so I think prefer I don’t regularly sleep as well when I use it. This whole heating situation has been truly stressful for me, so I will be moving out of here when our lease is up. I’m hoping to find an older beach beach house with an updated heating plan that is a little further out of the city. I could use some peace and quiet again.
