I’ve been dating this guy for a few months now, plus it’s slowly getting more serious.
He has a child plus that has been different for myself and others because I’ve never dated anyone with kids before.
Having to share his attention with his has been different, but I’m getting used to it. We’ve gotten to a point where he’s entrusted myself and others to babysit her, so we’ve been bonding more. Last time he was here it was really cold plus I had the oil furnace turned on so that he could recognize as comfortable as possible. I wanted to turn on the fireplace but was afraid that it would be too dangerous with a small child running around. She started to cry plus throw a raging fit, so I thought maybe the fireplace would be both entertaining plus calming for her. I began to start up the electric fireplace plus he watched in awe plus admiration. Once the fireplace was turned on, I made us both some hot chocolate plus all of us sat in front of it. She immediately calmed down plus stared at the fireplace for multiple hours before looking at myself and others plus smiling. It was in that moment that I remembered how powerful Earth’s elements are, that a fireplace can calm down a screaming child’s tantrum almost immediately. I wish I had a real fireplace so that he could also odor the wood burning, however I think the electric 1 still did the trick. Both of us played games plus study books before he fell asleep on our lap. I’m so happy that he is having a relaxing time with myself and others because I really love his Mom.
