However, I really do respect my dad for not becoming an HVAC technician. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with being an HVAC technician, but I know that my dad would not have liked being an HVAC technician, and I think that it is super respectable that he followed his heart. There are a lot of reasons why it would have been tempting for him to become an HVAC technician. If he would have become an HVAC technician, he could have started with a ton of experience, and it would have allowed him to own his own HVAC company. My grandpa owned a very large HVAC company. In fact, it was the largest HVAC company in the city. If my dad would have taken the HVAC company, he would have been very successful. and, my dad was a good HVAC technician. From a young age, my dad learned how to fix furnaces and central air conditioners, and he would have had more experience than most HVAC technicians before he even became certified. However, my dad wanted to join the military, and this would mean leaving the HVAC business. Although my dad could have picked an easier route, he ultimately decided that he did not want to be an HVAC technician, and I am proud of him for that. It was a hard choice to make, but he did not back down.
