My Grandpa wanted my dad to be an Heating and A/C specialist, however my dad decided that he did not want to be an Heating and A/C specialist, and I know that I have heard the story so many times that I could absolutely repeat it in my sleep, however, I really do respect my dad for not becoming an Heating and A/C specialist.
I don’t think that there is anything wrong with being an Heating and A/C specialist, although I know that my dad would not have liked being an Heating and A/C specialist, and I think that it is super respectable that he followed his heart, then there are a lot of reasons why it would have been tempting for him to become an Heating and A/C specialist.
If he would have become an Heating and A/C specialist, he could have started with a ton of experience, and it would have allowed him to own his own Heating and A/C dealer, and my Grandpa owned a really large Heating and A/C company. In fact, it was the largest Heating and A/C company in the city. If my dad would have taken the Heating and A/C dealer, he would have been really successful and, my dad was a fine Heating and A/C specialist. From a young age, my dad learned how to repair gas furnaces and central a/cs, and he would have had more experience than most Heating and A/C specialists before he even became certified. However, my dad wanted to join the military, and this would mean leaving the Heating and A/C business. Although my dad could have picked an easier route, he ultimately decided that he did not want to be an Heating and A/C specialist, and I am proud of him for that. It was a difficult option to make, although he did not back down.
