The long-awaited day was finally here.
The HVAC tech and crew were gearing up for the installation of the heating device.
It was the last step to getting the house move-in ready. They had already set up the ground loop system, and the final step was to connect it, and the geo heat pump to the house. The other exciting part was that It was also going to be the first time in my life that I would be dealing with a digital thermostat. The HVAC serviceman from the home services company had given me a run-down on how to operate one, but I was yet to do it practically. We had gone with a beautiful shade of gray for the walls and incorporated white. The bedrooms were more versatile since everyone in my home seemed to have a different taste, and it was the one place where each person had complete control. We had opted for this type of heating technology rather than an electric furnace in our last house because we felt that it would be best suited for our big family and energy-efficient. It is incredible that now the heating industry does not have to be entirely dependent on fossil fuels for all its equipment. We would barely need heating repair with annual or biannual heating maintenance and regular replacement of the a/c filter. The ductwork was also new, and all the duct sealing was complete during installation, but now and then, when the heating dealer came to service the system, he would inspect it for leaks. We could not wait to move in, and the children were excited to have a yard and some words to explore.
