I have so much respect for my ancestors.
Because of them, I’m living the life I get to live each day.
They were the brave 1s who came to this part of the country to make their own way. That was generations plus generations ago but what they started is still a thriving family trust today. All of us are now still farming the land of our ancestors but both of us have also delved into land development these afternoons. In fact, both of us have built planned communities full of lovely homes with great quality heating plus air for the last 40 years. And its that Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C that got me to thinking about my ancestors in a modern light. As much appreciation plus respect as I have for them being able to carve out what they did plus work the land, they did it all without modern Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C technology. I feel several of us who live in this region today forget that our ancestors were living here without the air conditioning system that is so completely ubiquitous today. They weren’t able to program their digital thermostat or let the smart thermostat do its thing when it came to Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C cooling. Those folks had to get up at 3 in the day to get the farm work done in the Summer before the peak heating hours of the day made it near impossible. Shoot, I get cranky when I have to walk to my automobile in the heat. That’s how soft we’ve become. There is just no way I would be able to live my life these afternoons without the constant Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C cooling comfort I get from my heat pump.
