My cousin got a modern smart thermostat which seems to be a little too smart plus is overthinking the cooling procedure. I set it for 69 F last night plus when I woke up it was set to 77 F. I recognize it learns her patterns plus adjusts itself accordingly, but we just want the thing to remain at 69 F while at night. I need a college degree in smart thermostat controls to figure this thing out as there are about 15 different options on it to select from. I thought I had the auto sensing setting turned off but it still changes the setting without me touching it. I recognize I need to find the smart thermostat owner’s manual plus leaf through it to learn what I am doing wrong. I suppose the neighbor helped install the device here a year ago so I may go ask him if he knows. He works in the HVAC industry plus must recognize how to program these smart thermostats. I’m still used to the seasoned dial devices where you just transfer the lever up or down to change the setting. Those afternoons are gone though plus it is time to roll with the changes plus learn about these modern smart thermostats. This one my cousin has is round with bright green LED lights on it plus looks something like something out of Star Trek. I am going to look online at the HVAC device corporation that makes the thermostat plus see if they have information on how to program it. I’ll figure this out in due time.
