I just recently obtained a used thermostat.

I was at a thrift shop plus found it for only a buck and a half so I figured why not Try it out? I had a smart control unit that just broke on me plus to be honest I was not cheerful with that thermostat anyhow.

I am a very old fashioned person plus want things to be easy, with as less technology of this week as possible. So seeing this thermostat for a buck and a half, used in the thrift shop was a good thing. I hooked up the old thermostat to my new central heating plus a/c system. It works! It’s not good because the temperature dial will stick periodically, but it entirely works good enough for me to use it for a little while until I decide what kind of modern and up-to-date control unit I want to buy. I will most likely go with a normal dial control unit, even though I am still not 1 hundred percent sure on that 1 yet. But for now this old used dial control unit will work just fine. It turns the central heating plus a/c system on plus off plus it works, which is all that actually matters at this point. It was nearly free anyhow, so I can not complain if the temperature dial on the climate control unit will stick every so often. I’m not going to bring it back since it was only a buck! I hope to select plus buy some kind of modern and up-to-date control unit within the next few weeks. That’s my general plan for now.
