It’s been a few years since I have done any HVAC repairs but I am going to give it a shot today with a heat pump install.

My cousin has a newer HVAC unit but for some reason the heat pump is making a loud noise.

I think maybe it was a defective unit, and it may still be covered by the warranty, so I am going to take it out and replace it with a geothermal heat pump. I think the company that installed the unit two years ago is out of business now so we can’t ask them to do the work. I may try to contact the manufacturer of the heat pump to see if they will cover the cost of the new heat pump. They are a local company and I may need to drive over there with the broken pump so they can check it out to see that it is really not working. I think the geothermal heat pump is more efficient so maybe the electric pump breaking was a gift from above. I can probably do the job in about three or four hours so it isn’t going to be that big of a deal. My dad was an HVAC contractor and taught me a lot about the industry so I have a lot of knowledge about HVAC myself. I was running my own company for ten years while living here in the states but left it all to move overseas and start a new life. I’m going to run down to the local business now and look at the heat pumps.
