When my son was born, I was so happy.

My son was healthy and happy on that day, but the doctors discovered he had a problem a little while later. It would take time for my son to develop, meaning he’d always be a little slower than the other kids his age. This news hit me like a ton of bricks, but thanks to my family, I did pick myself up and rise to the occasion as his mom. When he was old enough to join the school, I had to find a special school for him. It took some time to track down the right one, but we eventually got admission to a great institution. My son loved it, and all the special educators were quite wonderful with the kids. When I was at work, I got a call from the school asking to go and pick up my son. The school was having an issue with its boiler system, so there wasn’t enough heat to keep the students warm. Instead of keeping them in freezing classes, the school requested parents to pick them up. I asked my boss for the rest of the day off and then picked my son up. When I got to the school, a track from an AC business was just pulling into the parking lot. This made me quite happy since the principal worked hard to ensure the heating system was back on track. We walked into the school with the boiler technician and went to speak with the principal. She explained that there seemed to be some leak from the boiler system affecting its ability to produce enough heat for the school.
