My wife came from a well-off family. When I found out how wealthy they were, I must admit that I felt a little bit intimidated. But, her parents turned out to be the most amazing people. They welcomed me into the family without judgment and even got along with my mom quite well. We began living together and organized our wedding soon after. As a wedding gift, my father-in-law gifted us a lake house. My partner had informed him that it had always been my dream, and he just handed us the keys. We could rent the space out and make some good money since it was quite a lovely house. We went to see it when we came back from our honeymoon, and I was completely blown away. It was in a prime area and looked amazing, so we didn’t have to do much work before starting the venture. The only thing we had to decide was which air conditioning system to use. We thought about a ducted system, but this would require building the cabin system. That had been left out when the lake house was being built. It was much easier to go with ductless systems. We found an AC business that would set up a ductless air conditioning system in the lake house and add zoning. That way, every room could benefit from this unit and we’d keep our costs down. As for heating, we had to be a bit fancy and chose to install radiant heating. That way, the whole lake house could benefit from even heating.
