I mean I totally and fully understand that it was all my fault to begin with. This is just a statement in fact. However, it wasn’t so great to be left home alone with a broken down HVAC unit. And that’s exactly where I found myself this past August. And I had a very serious opportunity to have that not happen at all. This was due to the fact that the HVAC technician told me in the early spring that the HVAC equipment was about to go. The HVAC professional was like quite direct about this and that it would behoove me to get an HVAC replacement plan together and fast. But, I went another direction because I was embarrassed to face up to a mistake I hadn’t been forthright about. See, my wife and I actually started an savings account that was to cover new HVAC equipment and some other stuff. Well, I sort of raided that fund a bit when we were getting the pool put in. And I didn’t tell my wife. That’s why I chose to pretend that I didn’t hear anything and hoped I could save the money before the HVAC unit died. I didn’t even get close. By the first week of August, the air conditioning simply stopped in the middle of the night. My wife got to the HVAC company before I did and ended up finding out that it could have been avoided. That wasn’t great. And I got to stay home with the dogs while my wife and kids enjoyed air conditioning at my in laws.
