I decided that I wanted to get drastic about making wine.
My father is a grape farmer and has access to tons of grapes, then i started out just trying our hand at wine with a few bunches and doing the process in our mother’s basement! Once I started having success I moved onto the grape fields out of our Mom’s office, then I wanted a real facility; Getting a building erected is harshly lavish! You need to pay an electrician, plumber and Heating and Air Conditioning corporation too, for wine you need running water, lights and heat for the cold season, and after crunching those numbers I got pretty discouraged.
I then realized that I could just do a shipping tote facility. A modular wine making facility if you will. I found a corporation that makes modular dining rooms, portable restroom solutions and affordable tiny homes. They were able to do a wine room for me. I have running water, a sink and drains in the floor which makes things absolutely easy. I have lights and a ductless heat pump for our facility too. I have several windows, a door that locks and a security camera mounted on the outside of it too! What is also nice is the way the portable facility is set up. I have enough height that I can have wine tanks in there. I also have a long enough stretch that storing carboys and our several cases of wine aren’t an issue at all. I have the ideal space and it sits right on our father’s grape farm. I thought it would be a temporary solution for me… Now I am thinking I might keep it forever.
