I’ve always noticed a difference in the air within her house because my allergies don’t flare up as much and I feel like I can breathe easier. I assumed that my sister just lived in a good area without a lot of pollution or maybe her home had been built and insulated better than mine. It wasn’t until I was standing in her house the other afternoon when I realized that her air quality probably had something to do with her HVAC system. I asked my sister what kind of HVAC system she had but she didn’t know. She did know that it was five years old though. When she realized that I was genuinely interested in her air quality, she started telling me other information about her HVAC system. According to her, she hired an HVAC system twice per year and she was a part of the annual maintenance plan with the local HVAC company. I’d never heard of an HVAC maintenance plan before, so she explained it. After paying an annual fee, the HVAC company would service her HVAC system twice per year, she received a discount on all parts and labor, and she received priority scheduling. I wasn’t someone who regularly had my HVAC system serviced because I thought it cost too much. However, when she told me the price, I was shocked to hear how low it was.
