We lived in such a lovely place growing up.
Though it was a little remote, we didn’t mind.
Mom and dad had bought land outside the city and built a lovely space for all of us. It was so lovely and peaceful that our cousins always wanted to stay over in summer. Dad worked in the city and always drove to and from work. Mom, on the other hand, had a successful online coaching business. The house had ample space for a home office with effective air conditioning. One thing I clearly recall was the heating furnace. Dad had a cooling system set up to keep the house comfortable in summer. But, the same unit wasn’t effective in the depths of winter when temperatures dropped below zero. That required a more effective heating system. After speaking to the few people living in the area, dad opted to go with an electric furnace. It was energy-efficient and pumped enough warm air without incurring huge power costs. For this unit to work effectively, dad had a routine of calling the AC worker over to the house each month. The AC worker would come to check the unit and change the air filters. Dad always said the air filter was important if we enjoyed better air quality. As an adult in my own house, I do the same thing. I always have the area AC worker come to the house each month to change the air filter. It would probably save me some money to learn how to do it myself. But, I don’t want to affect the heating system in any way.
