My cabin was actually built to look appreciate a hunting shack or rustic cabin, however i have a wood ceiling & wood walls in our living room, there was a wood stove that sat on a tile pad in the middle of the living room.

The seasoned rug was ripped up to substitute it with current grey tile. The wood walls were sanded & painted white. I then varnished the wood ceiling to make it glow. I now appreciate our living room. I will say that the white wood walls look pristine & perfect, however because of this, I am hesitant to drill holes in them. I haven’t hung a picture or anything. I don’t want to ruin the walls; My fiance wants myself and others to add curtains to our living room. That would require drilling holes for a rod & covering parts of the wall. I actually appreciate the big & open guess of our living room; For privacy & sun protection, I recognize a window tint will suffice, but you can get all sorts of window tints, however right now the outside of our cabin is brown because the previous homeowners obviously loved the color. I am hoping to someday change it to grey… So what do I do with the window tint? Do I match the tint to the current cabin color or what I am hoping the future one will be? Either way, the tint won’t match the cabin at one point. I could go with a color that sort of matches both however not really. It is a strenuous decision.
