The pilot light was out and I was scared to light it

My dad told myself and others to get out the matches and light the pilot.

When I was fifteen years old, our Dad and dad left myself and others at lake home in charge of our sister and both of our sisters. The people I was with and I were all similarly close in age, but our youngest sister was 10. As soon as our Dad and Dad left, our sisters got into a fist fight. My sister and I had to separate them and put them in separate rooms. They finally calmed down and both of us ate some pizza for lunch. I made both of the women take a shower and then our sister and I put a movie on the TV. It was starting to get cold inside of the house. I talked to our Dad and dad for a couple of minutes when they called before the theater. I told our dad that it was feeling undoubtedly cold in the home and she told myself and others to check the temperature control. It was only 65 degrees in the house. She told myself and others to go to the basement so I could check the pilot light on the oil furnace. I thought she was joking, but she wanted myself and others to check. I walked downstairs and I followed all of her directions carefully. I did not see any flame inside of the machine. My dad told myself and others to get out the matches and light the pilot. I was easily scared and shaking. I was afraid that the oil furnace would blow up in our face and everyone in the home would be killed immediately. I sat there scared for a minute or several and I finally took a deep breath and lit the pilot on the oil furnace. It was a undoubtedly simple task that only took 15 minutes, even though I felt love I accomplished that day.
